Our History

Here we will tell the story of the beginnings of our church and how we became what we are today.

In September of 1999, a young man received a vision from God.  It was a vision of a church with Jesus as the cornerstone and controlled completely by the Holy Ghost and not the traditions of men.  This church would be unified, with no racial or denominational barriers.  God showed him a church of warriors that would tear down the strongholds of the enemy and bring the manifestation of God's Spirit back to the city of Tampa.  Although God had been dealing with Minister Saughanto Austin for quite some time, Minister Austin remained subject to his leader, Reverend Roosevelt Hardy, until he was released to do what had been commissioned of him by God.  While serving as the Young Adult Minister and Intercessory Minister at St. Luke A.M.E., Minister Austin received confirmation from Reverend Hardy that the Young Adult Ministry would be the training grounds for the ministry that had been conceived within Minister Austin even at that time. Minister Austin felt the urgency growing within him all the more, yet he served well and even endured some hardships, but when the time came for him to move, it was evident that the favor of God was upon him.

What began as a vision has now become a work in progress.  The first official church service was held Sunday, April 1, 2001 at the Holiday Inn on Fowler Avenue in Tampa, Florida.  Since its humble beginning, MoSaT has reached out to various communities in Tampa by feeding the hungry, clothing the poor, finding jobs for the unemployed, mending broken families, preaching salvation through Jesus Christ to the sinners and liberty to the bound, and proclaiming Holiness as a way of living by the Spirit of God.

God has blessed us to reach out to other parts of the world to preach the doctrine of Christ.  God has blessed us with a church in Haiti, three churches in Guyana, South America; two Ministries in the Philippines. two Ministries in Kenya and Caymen Island.

We have also grown locally, building one church in Plant City, Florida, and overseeing two churches in Tampa.
